The seminar was jointly hosted by Italian Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar Iron and Steel Association ( MISA ) and Danieli Co., Ltd on November 29 in the Melia Hotel & Italian Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar.
The idea behind this event was to identify and evaluate opportunities in emerging steel market of Myanmar and potential investments that can drive its sustainable economic growth with the support of Danieli state-of-the-art technologies.
There were more than 80 major steel producers and traders of Myanmar and 15 participants from Danieli, Italian Embassy and MISA .
In his speech, Italian ambassador outlined action plans to help steel industry sector with support of the local authorities, government officials and stakeholders.
Following the discussion MISA presented its recent activities and highlighted significant steps for this organization: a granted a membership in SEAISI and a planned implementation of Myanmar Iron and Steel Quality policy.
On the other hand, we took this opportunity to talk about the achievements and provide an overview of global steel market situation while emphasizing our accomplishments as a worldwide supplier of steel machinery equipment.
The topics covered were: steelmaking solutions, long and flat technologies, Digi&Met, eco-friendly plants, tech service and spare parts that can meet the needs and enhance the productivity of the Myanmar steel industry.
The event was concluded with a dinner in the Italian Embassy where the executives of the major steel companies, potential investors and Danieli top managers discussed future plans and sustainable development goals.
