Pietra is treating his baler to a second life

Showying a total 4300 operation hours, the triple-action baling press (model PTC 1030) installed mid-2015 at Pietra (France) has performed pretty well. Anxious to maintain its production equipment in perfect condition, Pascal PIETRA entrusted Danieli Henschel with the refurbishment of its baler.

Thanks to its preventive maintenance actions, and with a stated goal of “0 leakage / 0 mechanical problem”, the client can keep the pace up at almost 100 bales per hour!

That job will have mobilized 3 people in August, for a total of 300 hours:

  • 90% of the plates have been replaced, and the rest thoroughly checked;
  • to improve the maintenance of the hydraulic power plant, a hatch has been added to the deck;
  • also to increase reliability and facilitate global maintenance, on some of the plate fastening systems have been modified.
  • For the team in charge, the project was complicated in terms of site organization and safety because the crane was also replaced at the same time.
    Completed at the end of August, the customer is very satisfied with the job done.
    Congratulations to those who have joined force on this job.
